Richard Dawkins has written and said a shed full of controversial statements.
Do you have a specific in mind?

I believe this is in relation to the indoctrination of children into 'faith' schools.
A difficult topic as it causes so much emotive response.

Dunno what you're on about. As been said already, he's said a lot of things, many are hypothesis.

Yes, this is difficult to comment on as you risk being accused of being some kind of extremist.

However I think faith schools are wrong because they segregate children from others in a way that is totally against integration. They create a polarised society that can be alien to that around it. They can promote extremism if not regulated correctly.
In Britain I believe the whole concept is unacceptable. This is now accepted to be a multicutural society which a huge emphasise on living side by side in harmony. These schools go against that premise and are dangerous.

I concur but the problem is that many people do not now accept the reality of evolution. Science, truth and fact it appears have no meaning to these people and they would rather believe something that was written 2000 years ago by people that thought the earth was flat. blink.gif Personally I'd go as far as to say they were dillusional and some might say even clinically insane!

I feel faith is a many facetted concept of which origin is only one factor.

Yes...a little pretentious, somewhat! What I think I'm trying to say is: there's more to religion than whether God(s) exists.

A lot of things he is spot on. I've read all his book (well, almost all of them). The programme you refer to is on More4 and was originally on Channel 4 earlier in the year or last year.

Recently he was on More 4 about faith Schools. Which was a very good programme.

What is in his favour is that he has science on his side, religion only has faith.
