Some issues such as Brexit , Trump , fidget spinners are debated robustly on this, and other , forums and a common consensus reached, but this article has left me fuming .

To blatantly discriminate against the humble pineapple is surely reaching an all time low in our effort to broaden the diversity umbrella. Even reading as much as is feasibly possible in 30 seconds of googling the matter I can find no justification whatsoever in this ruling.

I ask all forum contributors to put aside their political differences and show their support with the humble Bromeliaceae . If we let this sort of thing get a hold who knows where it could end . Bananas from Wimbledon , grapes from hospitals and blackberries from apple pie ?

Such a defeatist attitude Sir . When the Hun were knocking on the door did we not stand united in defence of what we believed in ?

It's rather interesting to look back at what 'we', or whatever defines 'we' did stand in defence of on that fateful Sunday in 1939. Then compare what we ended up with some five plus years later. Perhaps Pineapples aren't the only fruit!
