Does anyone know of a good, reliable firm of motor engineers within about a 40-50 mile radius of Newbury who will undertake a clutch replacement?

Try Sharpes, always treated me well. Much cheaper than dealer and just as good. Not open Saturdays though.

Thanks. I take it you mean Sharp’s Autos in Bone Lane?

Specifying the type & model of the vehicle may alter the responses you get... Is it for a 1978 Leyland DAF artic', a 2004 Ferrari or a 1990 Audi?

Clutch replacement as far as I know is the bread and butter of any garage. Just ask any local garage that has been trading for a few years and I'm sure you won't need to travel 40 miles for a standard job. If you are after a cheap job, that changes the perspective as that involves cutting corners.

Didn't think there was a Leyland DAF in 1978.
