Is it my imagination or is the Newbury area having a lot more incidents of Arson recently?

Although this one is not strictly Newbury the incidence of arson attacks reported in NWN do seem to be on the increase.
Vandalism in general seems to be quite prolific.

I would be more inclined to ask whether the Reading has had a lot more incidents of arson recently. Seeing as Pangbourne is closer to Reading than Newbury and positively distant compared to Hungerford.

Yes, I know. I'm afraid that the main stream parties don't represent my views on many issues as I believe that this country as a whole needs a shot of discipline to instill a culture of self respect for individuals in the way they behave and dress and a repect for others and their property, privacy and fundamental right to live without fear of crime and abuse.
