I understand that Sunday parking charges have been put on hold. This seems sensible to me, but I am disappointed that Mr Rendel has to put his political boot in. I think if proposals are made which transpire to be questionable, then it is prudent not to proceed. I say well done to the council doing what appears to be a sensible thing. Although regrettably, with the way that the authorities wish to 'commercialise' Newbury into a bigger town, I do anticipate that Sunday charging is inevitable (unless Parkway fails to draw the expected Sunday footfall).

Him and the Lib Dems never miss a bandwagon to jump on.

The decision has been delayed, it's certainly a positive thing but charges are expected shortly after Parkway opens. Did you hear Graham Jones on the radio?
