I have just walked back from Tesco. The Carpark is gridlocked. Basically, traffic can't leave the car park because of tail backs from the link Road.

It's gridlock everywhere. I've just driven back from Parkway to home (Henwick) and it's absolute carnage.

Yes, I'd say it would take at least an hour to get out of Tesco, most probably much more if you are unfortunately in the corner section (as I am). I have left the car there and walked home. I'll go back there later, but they have that 3 hour rule, so I'd better not get fined.

I had a friend who stayed for more than 3 hours and she got a sarky letter. They have ANPR and she was insured with them so they had her details. Otherwise I doubt they'd even know who you are and I've never seen a warden there.

I don't think Tesco Insurance would risk passing data across from that side of the operation
due to data protection.
It'll be DVLA who sell their databases to anyone.

Just went to Tesco to get my motor, after abandoning it today. Tesco is fairly empty now. Seemingly, people are put-off trying to go there now. If it freezes tonight, it is going to be a nightmare tomorrow. The roads now already look like an ice rink with compacted snow.

By the way, Tesco said they switched the ANPR off today.
