Is it my imagination or is this forum getting out of hand ? Just read a couple of "random rants" and within two posts they have really got quite pathetic !

Sticks and stones can break bones, but don't let words hurt you. If words hurt, then it is likely they are true.

I think the saying is "sticks and stones may break my bones but...**** it, I've got BUPA."

There are some people who find nothing better to do than insult everyone else but aside from that it's OK.

So you have started a new thread, in random rants, to label people pathetic?

Here we go again...

If I'm right, and what you are getting at is that posts start off discussing something and turn into a tit for tat battle about something completely different to the topic, then yea... that is what is happening all over the forum.

I enjoy some of the rough and tumble of the debaters on here
but it's a pity that there is not a school playground close by that
one or two could get together in the time honored way and sort
things out, with a big circle of the rest of us kids (I'm sixty nine
I know) around them chanting fight, fight, fight, and then all shake
hands and get on with the game, for game it is on these boards,
points scoring no more no less.

Skateboard park?.... Oh No not that one
Motorists?... Oh No not that one
Pavillion, museum,Northbrook St.
I read all posts but can't really reply. I think XJAY stands up well.

I don't live in Newbury ,but I went to school there, Little Abbey. Not a Downton Abbey either
Grew up there, one day I'll really grow up. Might even make Northender's venerable 69 (OOOps).
I took a motorbike test round St John's, and a car test also. Parked in Camp Hopsons,
so I do know Newbury.
Finally, as a random ramble ....was knocked over by a young lad on a bike.
He came racing over the railway bridge, riding one handed, the other was in plaster as he had broken it
falling off said bike the day before. Such is life.

Oh. That's ok then. I hope I stand up well, I had months of physio for my dodgy knee!

why don't you want to jaywalk?

i don't get why, when a pedestrian is crossing the road, people accelerate as if that will make them move out of the way faster. after all if you hit them you'll be the one in trouble, blood stains paint quite easily.

Yep Cornflake you are spot on ! That's exactly what I mean. Generally within about 2 or 3 posts, it's almost as if no-one has anything to say dry.gif

I thought that this was a quite gentle thread, considering the possibilities.
You only have to watch a family wedding on youtube to see real trouble.
