Seems to me that if our useless coalition government can get it wrong it will get it wrong. And when it doesn't get it outright wrong, it dithers.
It can't make its mind up on a 3rd runway at Heathrow. The Conservaberals promised not to build a 3rd runway. Now, obviously, they're having second thoughts and are thinking about breaking that promise along with all the others.
In my view we need a strong Heathrow. It's growth is vital to the future of the Thames Valley and our area and Boris Johnson's plan for another airport in the Thames estuary is insane.
I despair of Cameron, Clegg and Co ever getting their act together on this one way or the other, but what do you think? Should we allow Heathrow to become a second rank airport and accept the consequences for the economy and our area?
We worry about conserving water which is a renewable resource and falls out of the sky nearly every day, but we use up oil, and plan to use more, like there is no tomorrow!
Weird.
