Little doubt we are all mortified by such a callous attack but my concern is , apart from one chap who went to his aid and suffered the consequence , why no one did anything ? Now whatever time of day or night you go around Newbury there are people , so it's safe to assume there were plenty of pedestrians/ drivers about during this incident . Now a single individual may well come off second best but 3 or 4 adults intervening would have had the desired result.

The perpetrator is somehow secondary to my rant as he is just a moronic individual who one day will pick on someone that he undoubtedly regrets but those who can walk idly by is total beyond my comprehension .

3am on a Sunday morning might explain a lack of responsible people. Clearly though, it questions the BIDs view of Newbury's safe but vibrant night life.
