Should the NWN report Water-Plonker-Gate?
Yes, of course, it's news isn't it? [ 4 ] ** [50.00%]
No, absolutely not, it's just scurrilous tittle-tattle. [ 4 ] ** [50.00%]

The nation has been reeling to learn of the tabloid accusations that our local MP left a hose running at his vast West Berkshire estate. See, for example: http://goo.gl/r37PY

Mr Benyon denies that this was even possible and says the dastardly hacks themselves must have deliberately turned it on.

We will probably never know the truth but the question is, should this story be reported by our local newspaper? As of just now it's not featured despite the fact that little else is on the lips of local residents.

I suppose because so far the tabloids have found nothing underhand about Richard Benyon it would'nt take too much imagination to believe it could be possible that he is being maligned. IMO.

Of course they should report it. It would not suprise me one bit if he believes he has a right to use a hosepipe whilst the 'commoners' do not.

I am sorry Tall and Dark..

I really do not think he is that stupid.. Having discovered the family built and still owns swathes of housing nearby,
some of which is leased to start up businesses like stone masonry in little courtyards, rather than building flatlets.

I am prepared to give him the benefit of doubt. And , have I ever heard of the Sunday People before? Errr No.
Gosh I sound like Jeremy.

I still feel that when you have a portfolio of £125 million. And a minister position in the Cabinet.
And even if you own the water as I do with a well.
You don't flush it away.. Someone turned the tap on.
