Really? I was beginning to think it was "Who can be the biggest name caller". To be honest who the h**l cares what we do as long as this particular issue is put to bed once and for all. angry.gif

I do. A no deal Brexit would be a disaster.

Agreed. Having just watched the leadership contenders debate on ITV I now think that we are all in serious trouble if Boris Johnson becomes leader of the Conservative Party and thence prime minister since his relationship with reality is incredibly tenuous at best and completely lacking at worst.

It's got to be Jeremy Hunt. At least he appears to be able to answer simple questions directly.

Problem is its already over. Most voting forms were sent back b4 tonight. Putin, Trump and Boris...I did predict it..... Putin will be the only one to worry about as the other 2 will just be trading insults on Twitter.🤣

Sign of the times. Just remember for an incompetent politician to reach office it requires an equally obtuse electorate to support them. Even Putin is liked within Russia so learn to live with what comes along. When the icecap melts, the amazon rainforest is destroyed and food is about as rare as a faberge egg in a junk shop it won't make any difference to who is in charge, we will all perish. angry.gif

I just wondered in view of the falling value of sterling and the stagnating economy how people were feeling about a no deal Brexit now?

Still full of optimism?

I predict that nothing will happen until the end of October. Up until that point Boris will bluster and achieve nothing. He will then try to leave without a deal, which Parliament will reject. What happens after that point will be more interesting and will be not quite as easy to predict.

Quite easy fella. General Election. Brexit Party and Conservatives join forces. Liberals and Greens join forces and ask Labour but Corbyn rejects and fields candidates. Lib/Lab vote is split and a hard no deal Brexit follows. Jeremy Corbyn will in the end ensure a no deal hard Brexit. Which he has wanted all along.

I thought the default position was we leave on the 31st October whether a deal is done or not? What happens after that is a general election without the brexit party which means all the tories vote conservative, The "european at any price" will vote lib dem and Corbyn's new socialist order will go back to pre Blair days.
Parliament can no longer delay brexit so they can huff and puff all they like but we will either leave on the end of October with a deal, without a deal or stay in the union until the end of time.
It is no longer your choice Mr Voter.

That’s not correct. There are various options. We could well have a new PM without an election the way the maths are going.

ABC. I’m hoping Labour will ditch Corbyn before it’s too late but I’m not hopeful.

As a Brexiteer I'm desperate they keep him. Corbyn is the most unelectable opposition leader in history. He makes Michael Foot look right wing. Interestingly the Brecon bye election was still won as a percentage of leave v remain by leave. Even after all the warnings. The problem remain have is views are now so entrenched that no amount of scaremongering will work. People have just had enough. Personally I've reached the don't give a sh1t stage. I'll still vote leave but don't actually care now as long as something happens on Oct 31st. Anymore delay and I see civil unrest by both sides! One word of warning though to the EU evangelists. The new plan In the EU into get rid of vetos and have majority voting to implement new laws and regulations. Don't even get me started on what that might mean...
