QUOTE (Baffers100 @ May 24 2012, 02:58 PM) Hi all,
I was just wondering how long everyone else on here has to wait before they can get an appointment at their doctors?
I called for an appointment this morning, and the earliest I can get in is the 19th June! That's over 3 weeks!
Is this typical of everyone else's experience? That seems rare, normally in a cpl of days. When we call for my 10 month old son it is normally within 2 hours.

Is this typical of everyone else's experience? You must be with the Falkland Surgery? You seem to be able to get an emergency appointment on the day or have to wait 3 weeks.

QUOTE (shedboy @ May 24 2012, 05:13 PM) What ever will it be like when we have a couple of thousand extra households on the fields by Park House all needing to see a doctor. Falkland surgery just won't be able to cope. Planners don't seem to be interested in this though. Agreed. Its madness. One surgery for what must be a cachment area of getting on for 10000. I've virtually given up trying to book appointments. Unless somethings about to drop off its not worth the effort.

Is this typical of everyone else's experience? If you just want an appointment then it takes about that long. But if it is urgent and you ring in the morning you can see a doctor the same day.

I have just checked on line and there is one 8:30 appointment with another doctor tomorrow, and the following two Fridays, 1st and 8th of Jun, same time, different doctor, only.
If I want to see my own doctor, the next available appointment is Tuesday, 10th July. There are plenty with different doctors before that, though.
