Are you a fan of the heat?
Worried about food supplies?
Bought a cool pillow?
How are your animals faring?
Will this "continental" heat stop once we leave the EU?😂

Yes.
No.

Shock horror! Sun turns out to be hot. It is all down to the vagaries of the jetstream along with an innate ability of the weather to be anything other than predictable.
Not sure if it will change when we are no longer "attached" to europe but I do know that had Glastonbury music shindig been held this year, rain would be guaranteed.

Oh come on SW.
The weather has never been so predictable as now. The gas board disappeared years ago.
That old adage "it always rains" is long gone.

Unlikely now we are not "leaving" in the proper sense of the word as was described in Cameron's £6M leaflet so "EU weather" should continue.
However, never fear, Farage claims he is waiting in the wings should this happen. wink.gif

As in 1976 when the appointment of Dennis Howell as minister of drought resulted in a wet autumn one concludes that Farage would have a similar effect.

More likely than a lot of his supposed misdemeanours. Does that mean if he wins the midterms then we are in for a really dry time?

Hes meeting jean claude drunker today. Nothing dry about jean claude.😂 Top on the list the EU 10% tariffs on US car exports compared to the US 2.5% tariffs on EU exports... Wonder what will happen at the "meeting"? I'm guessing a lot of vitriol spouted by EU leaders on there return. 😂

HOT weather can be dangerous if you do not understand anything.

Britain is basking in the glorious sunshine of a long heatwave – but it can be hard to enjoy the sun safely if you are **** thick. Here is some advice for you:

If you stand naked in direct sunlight for a long time, you may start to experience discomfort caused by your skin burning off. One clue to this is a smell like roasting pork coming from your flesh.

Avoid staring directly at the sun. This should be easy enough to do as there is no practical reason why you would ever need to stare at the sun.

That feeling of dryness in your body is called ‘thirst’. It means it is time to have a drink. Not beer though. Fight the urge to drink more beer.

Water is best ingested through your mouth. Do not try to pour it up your nose.

Remember, whatever the weather, to keep breathing in and out. Breathing is an important part of not dying.

Finally, always wear a hat. Like that funny one you got from the market with ‘Fart Machine’ written on it.

I guess it won't be "advisory" in your view if we have another one and remain win by 0.0000000001 %.
Whatever the outcome of any 2nd referendum or "peoples vote" I will demand a 3rd. Then a 4th.... 5th....6th...

This is what I like about the internet, plenty of good solid advise on subjects that one may be a little ignorant on. Of course I knew about looking directly into the sun but I now find it tempting in order to see if it is as bad as you say.
Should I stand naked for the best result?
On a side issue, we endure 6 weeks of cloudless sky only to have it disrupted on the one night there is a lunar eclipse. Bloody typical. rolleyes.gif

Looking at all the sage advice, from a vast variety of sources, it strikes me that the only sensible way forward would be to roll back universal sufferage.

Say, we only let those UK citizens aged 30 plus, with a good degree (nothing lower than a 2.1) from a Russell Group university, and either a property or Hayes assessed role.

We 'the rest' could then have you gov referendums and vox pop polls as often as we liked. They'd make the same sense as they do today, but at least we'd have some intelligent articulate people running the country!

I actually am beginning to want another vote.
Make it uneveiquocal so that remainers understand.

Option 1. Leave the EU. Completely. WTO trade for the fiirst 6 months after leaving. Let the EU propose any new trading relationship.
Option 2. Stay in the EU.

And if leave then wins will they finally shut uo?

Sure that is not the "fake news" that everyone is getting hot under the collar about? Well I say everyone, personally I take most reports with a pinch of salt until proven. Since Herodotus's account of the greco/persian conflict reporters have been guilty of indulging in journalistic histrionics in order to enhance their work.
The analogy that the "left" are supposedly better educated is based on the simple dynamic that universities are run by liberals and thus encourage their view of the world to their charges.

Spot on!

Let's not forget the 'year 2000' issue - when the experts predicted that at the stroke of midnight, planes would fall out of the sky, the national grid would seize up, and we'd see a return to the new ice age.

And before that 'decimalisation' - 'Decimal day was supposed to herald a huge increase in OAPs starving to death. wages not paid, shops going bankrupt etc, etc.

Still; for me, just a humble worker, both big overtime earners! It's a way to get the economy moving at least.

I don't give a sh1t if we take a temporary economic hit. That may not happen in any case. Remainers are fools. Scaremongering only hardens peoples opinions. After all #projectfear really worked the 1st time round.. Didnt it?😂😂

Lets have another vote with a hard brexit option. See what happens.

Don't worry.

Everyone forgets we aren't a democracy, we are a plutocracy. As old Tony Benn used to say, if voting changed anything, they'd abolish it.

We'll get what those who really govern want.

Yes, it really doesn't matter which party you vote for; party politics is simply a game for us, the great unwashed, each party exists only to keep us just about content - nothing more, nothing less and certainly not to determine the direction of the Country. The names you quote are great examples, now seen as Conservatives even by Labour! No point in worrying; all this Brexit b011ocks has done just as intended.

They had the temerity (Cameron & co) to ask the great unwashed the question they wanted to respond on for 20 years...He really didn't have a clue. And I still firmly believe the answer would be the same if asked again. This democracy business is rubbish for those people who consider themselves "intelligent". Perhaps they ought to ban it along with general elections. Newres might be happy then.

Least the remainers don't admit to losing. Can't see anything being sorted before the end of the century. Bit like the 100 years war, which was won and lost, not in battle, but in apathy.
