driving down Henwick lane last night, i nearly burned my retinas!!... what are those new streetlights?
They're BRIGHT!!!

shame they don't illuminate the footpaths!!

(just a quick edit as i read as if i liked them!)... they're AWFUL!

Saw them last night.... I assume they are these energy efficient LED lights? If that's the case they could do with removing a couple of those LED bulbs and making them even more energy efficient!!

It's a bright WHITE light as well, as opposed to the orange/yellow glow from the lamp columns on the adjacent A4... which makes the Henwick Lane lamps stand out even more....


Perhaps they're getting things in place for when they start to turn off lights after midnight as a cost saver? Just leave on the really bright ones and it'll provide enough bounced light for most of the town....

Yes, i managed to see the lights driving passed. They look very bright but they look kinda cool. I don't see anything wrong with them only that their the only lights down that road, might aswel do the rest like them.

The lights are great - they illuminate the strategic green gap between Newbury and Thatcham the good old Lib Dems were so keen to protect.
