It's only been up a few days so I don't know whethet there would have been that many votes, but I have to ask.

What kind of saddo bothers to go on such a forum just to vote "Don't care"? angry.gif

Why should we? One of the options given is to vote 'Don't care' - is that not acceptable, then - hardly seems democratic, does it ? I had sport beaten out of me at school as a lad, nobody is ever going to tell me again what to think and not think about it, thanks laugh.gif

Sorry Hugh, nothing personal, it just looks so negative. If it were me I'd have just given two options.

I used to think it was a daft option on surveys, but in fairness you don't know what the question is until you got to the poll, so if you're answer to that particular question is that you don't care you should be able to say so.

I don't think people go on the forum 'just to vote'. I am assuming you're talking about the vote on the home page of NT? In which case, people haven't even gone on a forum, it's the main page of a local website and voting may just be out of boredom!

Now, going on this forum and bothering to answer your question, well......... wink.gif

Because then you get an unbalanced result. The result shows that just as many people aren't bothered either way as think England will win.

It's a pretty pointless poll anyway - it doesn't express an opinion, it's a guessing game. If it were worded "Do you want England to win" instead of "Do you think England will win", then it would be (expressing an opinion).

Slightly off topic but I do wish we had an option on our vote when we come to vote at election time.

'None of the above' at the bottom of the form would win the election hands down!

Agreed. Nay bother when you're already on the site.

However, this reminds me of the Jack Dee skit which makes fun of people who pay to phone in to surveys (options Yes/No/Don't Know) and choose the latter.

"Hello? I don't know, thank you"
