Over the last week or so I have seen many parents wrapped up in a coat, gloves, and hat...the baby/toddler is sat in the pushchair with no blanket, no hat and sometimes no coat. I just want to scream at them to wrap their baby up, they look freezing. It's worse when it's a baby as they can't speak, at least with a toddler they can try and ask to keep warm. Makes me so sad sad.gif

Anyone else seen this?

I totally agree with you. On top of that they are in houses that probably have the central heating on all the time. No wonder kids and parents are suffering from flu and getting other illnesses.

Probably down to them not using the new Dettol hands-free dispenser currently being advertised, as we all know the plungers on the top of disinfectant dispensers harbour deadly germs...

(I had to smile at this ad and wonder who would be gullible enough to fall for it. Press plunger, pick up germs, rub hands in disinfectant goo coming from nozzle, kill germs. Yeah, right!)

As a thinking parent of an occasionaly headstrong toddler, I can tell you that when my son refuses to put on his hat, scarf and gloves, I'm generally thinking: Fine, suit yourself, we'll go out in the cold and see how long it takes to change your mind.

It can take quite a long time...

Oh I know where your coming from. My 3 yr old refuses to get his coat on before we go out sometimes, and many a times I have had to take him to the nursery in his pjs because he refused to get dressed! It's more the babies I hate seeing with nothing covering them up.

Seems a little hypocritical to chastise mothers with unwraped babies in pushchairs when your own toddler goes to nursey in his pajamas.....

1 - I never criticised just mothers but parents

2 - You can not compare my response with my OP. The times when my son refused to get dressed he went to nursery in his pjs, then he got changed once there as he saw his friends dressed and knew he had to admit defeat. How is that the same as me being concerned for babies in pushchairs with no blanket, coat etc in the freezing cold? dry.gif
