Me too.

Eeerily quiet walking in and actually, with wellies on, quite fun. Its been a long time since I've experienced snow that was relatively deep.

Working from home... watching all the people outside enjoying the snow...
Hoping for a powercut soon so I can join them!

News saying 'only if your journey is really necessary'. What do you deem as a necessary journey? Work, shopping, cinema, packet of crisps?

I'm in - but have been ordered home early.

Have been asked to try to get in tomorrow as well!

My daughter lives in Hungerford and works in Swindon. She left early this morning and got home at 3.30 without even getting to work. She got stuck half way and spent most of the day trying to get back home. She's a manager so it was hard for her. But her staff managed to cope without her.

Sorry about your daughter's predicament. Can't have been much fun.

But I can't help thinking that staff managing to cope without their manager is a bit like drivers at a roundabout managing to cope when the traffic lights aren't working... laugh.gif

A good manager ensures things run well (for a time) in their absence.

Thanks.

They are well trained and have managed without her. She's actually an assistant manager but manager this week as her manager booked this week as a holiday (she obviously knew something was going to happen laugh.gif ). She did keep in touch by phone.

Got in this evening again without too much trouble. Will have to dig out the crampons though for tomorrow night.

Made it in this morning fine, but I did walk smile.gif
