I awoke this morning about 2am to the beeping of our baby monitor. It appears the power was cut, as all the street lights were off as well.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know how long the power was off for, and how widespread was it. It was raining, but I would be surprised if a little rain caused this fault. After all, we are not living in North Korea...

Yes the power went off at about 1.30am then came back on at about 12.30pm i rang the SEB this morning about 9 and they said it was a fault with the sub station, all of derwent road estate was out.

Wow, we live around the corner on Lower Way and our power was back on before 6am.

SEB? - I suppose you rang using the GPO and you travel on BR? wink.gif
