Excellent news. We should be proud of our troops. What needs to happen now is that those robbers are put into a correctional institution and rehabilitated and then put back into society to become good citizens. Unless the judge lets them off with a ticking. It is all about being rehabilitated.

Well what do you want to happen to them? If they go to jail they will be rehabilitated so that they can be good citizens. I do accept it doesn't always work out that way but if that happens they will be back inside again. Our prisons are not just to punish but make good citizens out of our prisoners. I am not naive to think it works all the time, but that doesn't mean we stop doing it. The Lib-Dems have always called for better faculties to help our prisoners. One of the ways is to allow them to have the vote. Another would be better educational facilities inside. More money should be poured into HM Prisons.

Another one who just wants to use these forums for play instead of intelligent and serious debate. It wouldn't hurt a few on here to join a party like the Lib-Dems. It would teach you discipline, how to go about having an intelligent debate and priorities. It would also teach you how to be proper and upright citizens. Which seems to be lacking in our society today. I am sure that if everybody became a Lib-Dem we would have a better run country and we would play a very real and proper role in an up and coming European United Union.

Pass the bucket.
The day a political party can teach me anything about how to conduct myself will be the day I depart this mortal coil, I hope. More crooks in politics than in any prison.

It is just a little early to be celebrating though as they haven't been convicted of anything yet.

I wonder why they appeared at Brighton Court, unless that's a misprint?

It doesn't say. A bail hearing? But they have to reappear in March when I guess the police will present their evidence.

I agree. The sooner we become fully integrated into a United States of Europe the better. Once we become another failed state in a failed European dream no-one will want to come here anymore. wink.gif

I disagree, we could form an independent 'leper' state. Become a spin off from the Union and invite Scotland to join us (as they won't be a member of the EU by then) elect Nick Clegg as "El Presidento" who will introduce flaying for shoplifters whilst striving to increase immigration from non EU countries whilst selling of the remains of our armed forces and plantic a prickly hedge around the south coast as our "last deterrent" against invasion.

More educational facilities? They've already got Sky HD with all the channels!
