So sorry that the death of a beloved head of state and displays of national grief has in anyway interrupted your viewing schedule.
It interrupted everyones.

With the queen buggering off, and we are now left with Big Ears in charge is there still an appetite to continue the inequality and farcical cost of having a royal family?

Will anyone be protesting at the funeral or the silence on Sunday? Should we be allowed to, now we are having people arrested for daring to ask the question am I safe on here? Actually yes I am. This forum has never had any sort of moderation.

I think you are very passionate about your experiences and I am not suggesting at all that your perception is wrong, however at an event that is particularly about one side of the argument, you can't expect to be able to voice your individual and minority recollections. You are clearly going to have a biased view and this was probably not the time to share it.

History will certainly clarify why there is such a disparity in numbers between close European countries. Each country's equivalent to the Office of National Statistics will at some stage look back at overall death figures. Whereas UK is counting every death within 28 days of a positive test as being Covid - regardless of the fact a person dies in a car accident or of cancer or any other terminal illness there are many countries that have not used this methodology and their figures look astonishing in comparison with ours.

If soneone dies in a car accident and the cause of death is trauma, then it wil not be included in the covid death numbers. It is only when covid is on the death certificate that a death is recorded as covid. The official figures are likely to be understated to the reality.

Reading/Basingstoke/Swindon depending on where in West Berkshire you are.

The Ocado delivery depot is in Stanford in the Dale near Faringdon and they operate the Morrisons delivery service from there, a bit like the Waitrose set up.

The only prediction I will make is that the Brexit Party will get zero seats.

Why have the older generation suddenly become "thick"?
Just wondered .. I mean the remainers keep wishing all people over a certain age to die..
In my mind, it's not the older generation, it's the baby boomers. And thick is unfair, more ignorant, but they a ren't all like that, just a huge chunk who refuse to move on like the rest of the world. I'm sure you could make sweeping statements about any generation though.

Yep. As long as the remain vote met some sort of threshold to overturn the original vote.. you know..to show that the Country had changed its mind. Let's make it 60 percent.

Sensible idea though. There's got to be something we can do to move on, a general election wont do it.

Remain make up the laws as they go along. A bit like protecting democracy by ignoring 17.4 million votes.

Or 37% of the electorate..

What "law" was broken exactly?
Can someone direct me to where it is laid down?

When something is found to have no legal standing it isn't about breaking a law, it is more about not following it. Until there is a legal precedent laws are not enshrined anyway, so in this case the actions of Boris Johnson were deemed unlawful, not illegal. Now there is a legal precedent set it will be much easier in the future should the same event happen again.

Maybe if people paid a sensible price for milk, the milkmen would be on more than minimum wage and then more willing to go the extra mile?

Forgive me if I am wrong but did we not have a deal as orchestrated by Mother Theresa? Now with the EU in the driving seat surely it is that, no deal, or remain. The opposition can howl all they like but it seems pretty straightforward to me. The reason it has become protracted is the majority of MP's wish to remain and will do their utmost to delay the process.

Pretty sure it was Rees Mogg and his band of right wing nutjobs who scuppered May's deal...

If someone “replied to all” as you state, then that’s tantamount to volunteering the information.

That part is, however everyone should not have been included in the first place as they could all see the email addresses of the other people.

I’ve listened to James O’Brien book. Very enjoyable. I’m sure some of the callers were from here. Some of the clips that went viral were very funny.

I’ve read a couple of biographies. I enjoyed the Frank Skinner one a few years ago. I read the Ronnie O’Sullivan one too. Mainly for the running and addiction side as I don’t have an interest in snooker.

I rememebr reading the Frank Skinner one, that was good, I liked the honest bit about not remembering his years as an alcoholic, it was kind of haunting but also humble of him I thought.

Everyone getting paranoid over BJ being the worst PM since Lord North, the BBC single handedly trying to remove the democratically elected president of the good old US of A in a blatant show of reporting bias even by their standards, and yet dear old Xi Jinping can rattle his mighty sabre at a few concerned Hong Kong students and the UK's silent response is deafening.
Even the straits of hormuz tips it's troubled hat to the global ills but the UK media are obviously prejudiced against tousled hair individuals so if you want to get on get a haircut or be a "leftie".

Everyone says the BBC is biased, makes me laugh but I guess that proves to a degree that it isn't!

I've seen loads about Hong Kong, don't know where you're looking but it seems to be fairly well reported to me.

I worked with Kennet Radio a bit at the local elections recently, and their coverage was faster, more in depth and easier to access than the content produced by the NWN. And free to access as well.

I don't really like reading much, but I do read a lot of biographies, Nigel Mansell's and Hulk Hogan's I found particularly interesting. Recently I have read James O'Brien's how to be right and found that to really insightful and got me thinking about a lot of my own opinions. Fiction tends to bore me so I don't really indulge in it anymore.

The people that voted for them want them to attend and to be disruptive.

Do they?

I thought that the main protest against the EU was the cost so if we are making assumptions, I would assume that the people who voted for them, just want them to stay at home at not take a salary.
