QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Feb 14 2020, 11:57 PM) It took the Chinese two weeks to build a hospital, traffic lights at Hambridge? Six months, I drove through there last week, normal stuff, traffic up the wazzoo and a man in a digger with his feet up and reading a paper. Brilliant, the UK in microcosm. And to those who think we will become a "world power" post EU please observe. Does anyone actually know what they hope to achieve at hambridge road? Far as I can see it will still be a "road".

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Feb 14 2020, 03:10 PM) Couldn't make it up could you. In for four more years of the moderate left rioting and screaming "not my president"! Yeah it's gonna screw poor old Harry and Meghan up... such a shame... She's made a bit of a 'thing' about temporarily settling in Canada with the intention of moving to the States once the nasty orange 'Not My President' President is out of office.. It looks like they're going to be holed up in their Canuck bolthole for another four more years... how sad, never mind..

Long way to go till the election.. lots of "things" can happen between now and then...lots of powerful people...lots of billionaires who don't like "losing" ...

See labour leader hopeful, Lisa Nandy, has declared that she would like to abolish the monarchy, though would be in favour of a queen meghan instead of the present incumbent (obviously another poor bunny that was failed by the education system when it comes to understanding the line of succession), so the Sussex may well be returning to a new "job" within the next decade. Spot of fratricide / avunculicide is called for but this never stopped some of his ancestors and for a military fellow should pose no problem. Meanwhile Boris is learning how to pick fruit.

Fruit picking robots exist already... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/...siness-43816207It's just cheap slave immigration Labour has always been cheaper. Also, I've never understood why we dont use the huge prison population to do these menial tasks (where they are fit enough).

Joking apart it would probably be beneficial to all parties if such a scheme was implemented. The loony left would love that idea, give them something to howl about for years. Personally I think common sense will prevail in the market garden industry but it will give them food for thought.

QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Jun 2 2020, 06:54 PM) Oh plenty more...fully expecting some sort of none nuclear combat with the Chinese by November. Needs a war for his election chances.😯 His chances, against Biden, look quite good. Surprisingly.

QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Oct 21 2020, 10:02 PM) Dena vu..
Donald Trump...I sort of hope he wins...not because I want him to... But just to see the meltdown from some quarters..
😂😂 No argument there. Or to put it another way just imagine the left's response to a Biden victory?

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Nov 3 2020, 04:18 PM) I think you might be about to find out! 🤦 Still favouring Trump but maybe I'm a little biased. If the Democrats do prevail it will be another couple of nails in Boris's chances of still being in no 10 by the new year. In fact I quite fancy a flutter on a double of Trump in Boris out. Might make a few bob before they start taxing me at 21 shillings in the pound. (Younger readers ask your Grandmother).

QUOTE (Andy1 @ Nov 3 2020, 08:22 PM) Biden to win and then US to have its first female president with in 4 years. Why would an incumbent president hand over power? Won't happen.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Nov 3 2020, 08:14 PM) Why would an incumbent president hand over power? Won't happen. Not handing over power. If the average life expectancy is 76 years in the US, then I'd say there is a better than average chance.
