Allegedly, there was a stabbing incident Saturday night/Sunday morning at Jago Court (formerly the Sandleford Hospital site).

Seems that this sort of violent incident in Newbury is becoming common place now. Maybe does not warrant a story any more.

There are as yet unsubstantiated rumours of two stabbings on Wednesday night at or near the fair too................

I wouldn't know urZah.

All I do know is that my son & I were on our way home from the fair when a few police cars went down west street sirens blaring. The next day I was told by two different people that a 16 year old girl was arrested there for a stabbing incident and another person was found with knife injuries on the ROOF(??) of Millets.

Apparently the police helicopter was circling the area for some time too.

Anyway,as I said in my previous post, this is all unsubstantiated and I know how rumours can spread and stories be exagerrated.

A story was going round a few Sundays ago that a young female had collapsed and died in Fever nightclub, but again nothing has been reported, so I can only conclude that it is either utter nonsense or a gross exageration of a lesser incident.

A bit morbid this, urging the NWN to publish rumours or reports of stabbings.

No, but moaning that there's not enough stabbing news, presumably for you to then moan about said stabbing news once published is a bit weird in my book.

Yes; some do appear to 'enjoy' there being evidence of the 'destruction of society'. tongue.gif Having said that, I know someone who lives at Jago Court that would like to know about why there was 'a lot' of blood on the pavement, near their flat Sunday morning. unsure.gif

I see that the rumours about 'mass disturbances' at the fair & people on the roof on Millets have been quashed.

What are you talking about? Any letters I've had published were not based on rumours but facts. Is this your attempt, again, at playing games? Fed up with the other forum are we that you've decided to do a bit of mischief on here (again)?
