There should instead be lights controlling the bridge.
No one seems to know who has priority over the one way system that it has to restrict weight.

Oh they KNOW who has priority alright. They just decide that when one goes for it, that's the signal for four or five to follow on through and sod the driver with priority who is trying to cross from the Hambridge Road end....

I've witnessed impatient drivers mount the kerb and plough through regardless on many occassions, a very dangerous practice........
