QUOTE (Good Boy Racer @ Mar 27 2010, 02:42 PM) I understand that there are more younger people going out and enjoying themselves because their young but this nightclub is really not for them... Who are you to say that it is not for them? If they were enjoying it then good luck to them. What you probably don't realise is that most of the music in the charts today, (including the dance, R&B, and rock charts), is based on music from the 60's 70's and 80's anyway.

QUOTE (On the edge @ Mar 27 2010, 05:34 PM) To me it's a local night club for local people... I agree. I can't see why one should put a lower or upper age limit on a club, bar for legal reasons.

QUOTE (Andy1 @ Mar 28 2010, 10:41 AM) It's his opinion If he doesn't like it fine, that's his opinion. His statement however was projecting his feelings onto others. There were people there but they shouldn't have been enjoying themselves because GBR says so isn't a fair summary.

QUOTE (Good Boy Racer @ Mar 27 2010, 02:42 PM) What do you lot think of the place, go and have a look inside and tell us what you think. Got there at about 01:30 on Sunday morning, having just arrived back from Reading on a rail replacement bus. I am a massive fan of 90's dance music so pleased to see that they were playing plenty of that in the room on the top floor. Much better than the second room in Liquid. Can't really compare the lower room there to the main room in Liquid because I didn't go in there at all. Also £2 rather than £6 entry seems really good value.

QUOTE (urZah @ Mar 30 2010, 04:10 PM) Oh no, sounds like there are too many elitist old guys standing in the shadows complaining about how things have changed. Hope they move on soon. I think you'll find that most people have posted opinions stating how things haven't changed!

Concur, Charlies, Juke Box (1 and 2), Charlies again, Late Lounge, Secrets and now Fever. Never seen too many changes inbetwixt all the above! Gives me great hope for The Hatchet!

Haven't been but it's a heap of steaming excrement no doubt.
Probably confirm this in the future. Can hardly wait!

QUOTE (Iommi @ Apr 4 2010, 08:22 PM) Then you needn't bother, eh? You're right I need not. But I shall. Just to confirm my prejudice. And besides, I'm a masochist for terrible music, ****** decor and the smell of stale alcohol.

And besides, I'm a masochist for terrible music, ****** decor and the smell of stale alcohol. If that's your preference you could always try Liquid as well! Or The Nags head, The Dolphin, The Coopers Arms, The Purple Lounge, Snooty Fox, George & Pelican, Waggon & Horses, Hogs Head...(see where I'm going with this..!)
