It's elections here in 4 months, so if you suddenly can't get in your front door for Lib Dem Focus pamphlets, or the NWN letters page has you reaching for the recycling bin....here's a place to track who's saying what.

As an inaugural offering, here's Greenham's second most popular councillor Julian Swift-Hook. Turnout 41% in 2007, and the Tories are only 140 votes behind him.

The story forgot to mention that this chap voted FOR the Sainsburys depot, but I'm glad he's had a recent epiphany on protecting the common laugh.gif

Put an addition on it - if you told porkies about the CCTV Fiasco please don't knock the door - that should eliminate most of them for you. wink.gif

You are kidding - having some trumped up wannabes pontificating on your doorstep is great fun.

Had both kinds last time & gave both a right dressing down. I'm hoping for all three this time.

No, I'd just love to have a face to face debate. I've already said I enjoy debating with you, but in person I'd be able to provide you with supporting documentation to back up what I say. It would appear that like certain elected members, you take the Conservative Party leadership and all officers at face value without checking the merit of what they say.

You must live in a very nice catchment area Dannyboy to get two? Very select area?

Mind you the very large German Shepherd sat on my doorstep with a notice declaring he hates politicians might have had something to do with dissuading them from knocking. wink.gif

Let's hope you never complain that politicians don't engage with the public enough.

I guess I must - I've never seen any gangs of yobs or drunken youths either.

I've just started a blog called Newbury Politics, and it's on facebook and twitter too. Maybe the paper will let me blog for them too?

I was under the impression political commentators are supposed to be impartial.

Most newspapers have political commentators and they're hardly impartial.
