Endless Tweeting from WBC:

I don't use Facebook, but am shocked that someone employed by WBC has the time to make 25 tweets today up to 11am this morning on a variety of matters seemingly to justify WBC activities.
I thought they were desperately short of funds & resources; why not redeploy this employee into something more useful for the taxpayers? angry.gif

He used to be on here ......user23 biggrin.gif

In my case my indiscretion was accidental, often what people say is deliberate. I also disgree that breaking the law is always unacceptable, especially if the law is ‘unacceptable’.

Which laws are 'unacceptable' in your book?

Do they ever put water in the boiler so we can wash our hands, or is that reserved for the posh lot?

Seems the run down of the HST's is in swing with some power cars already gone to Scotland and many coaches being sent likewise or into store.
Many sets now running with only 7 carriages.
Bit premature?
Old Oak Common (London) and Landore (Swansea) HST depots close early next year.
Hot water probably not on their priority list.
(Cold water shower on the Hitachi IET's free though!)

I agree that 16 weeks should have been nearer the mark but why should the honest tax payer be burdened with the expense of the upkeep of these feckless individuals ?
A more fitting punishment would be to have them clean up their and other's mess .

That's a very good point SirW. I'll go along with that!! smile.gif

Women only carriages soon. Be just like talibanland. Marvellous.

You can't do that now though can you?
How would you cater for all the other genders?
No, trains have to be "gender neutral" like Top Shop and their changing rooms! laugh.gif

I think he’s pointing something out more than taking offence? I have to wonder why Love Thy Neighbour is not so funny these days, but other shows from the period are.

I think it's fair to remember that in all these programmes the bigot was the one made out to be the ignorant fool.

This is the weird thing, late at night when a 'guard' would be nice; there are none. During the day there's loads; often without a clue as to what's going on! tongue.gif

There are no guards on the "turbo" type trains on our and many other lines. They are Driver Only Operation (DOO).
Only the HST's have guards. (Or Train Managers as they now like to call them!).

The amount of money lost through industrial action over this issue would have paid the guard's wages for an awfully long time .

Not to mention lost fares due to unmanned trains and stations.
EDIT : Sorry unstaffed! dry.gif

They already have.
Woe betide anyone who exceeds the 2 hours determined by the ANPR system now installed.

As sexual harrassment is flavour of the moment in the darling media world have you examined your own behaviour since turning 18?

Have you ever "tried it on" with someone?

Going back to 18?? ohmy.gif

Or if you did and she or he said no and you left it at that does that make you normal?

Knowing my luck they probably did and yes, I think it does.
Surely it's if the unwanted attention persists after rejection that there is a problem?

Does anyone on here ever get along there? It's Newbury's treasure for live music and comedy.

Last night we saw Marriage of Figaro by Kennet Opera, but really it's more of a blues venue. Next week I'm seeing Bernie Marsden, but over recent months I've seen Elles Bailey (up and coming blues singer) supported by my cousin, Hugh Cornwell, Joanne Shaw Taylor and lots more besides.

In the past we saw a fantastic and poignant show by Sean Hughes.

It is a great venue and deserves support.
Seen some brilliant acts there over the last few years.

You think like everyone else on here that's fed a diet of Mail/Express nonsense without the intelligence to question what you're fed. Others have left this forum because of people like you. Have you not noticed that generally there's no debate here anymore? Unless I pop by? It's because everyone else is fed up fed up with your right wing / Britain First agenda.

"everyone else on here" "without the intelligence" Please elaborate.
Actually when you "pop by" the debate often lessens and regularly resorts to insult.
When someone posts something that you disagree with try and counteract with debate to make your point as to why you disagree.

And I have no problem at all with people wearing a poppy. It's just for me it would symbolise a support for Blair's wars as the modern charities have adopted the poppy as a symbol (it seems to me).

Wearing a poppy and the associated Festival of Remembrance and Remembrance Sunday do not support any war.
The clue is in the word "remembrance"!

Do you lot spend your whole lives looking for things to be angry about?

Who are "you lot"?
This is a forum of views and debate is a substantial part of that.
Some of the views of others will ignite some form of anger. Especially when covering subjects such as war and disrespect for the casualties of war.

Interesting the views on slip roads.
i wonder how many of the numerous crashes on the A34 are caused by inadequate slip roads?
Perhaps we will never know as the statistic does not exist.
However I doubt the number is very high?
Why seem so many t East Ilsley?
Is is just disproportionate reporting?
Maybe a crawler lane here on both sides of the hill may help?

Surely by that time science will have advanced far enough scotch any notion of the deluded nonsense that is Islam?
(And probably Christianity as well?)

We probably have bigger fish to fry than this anyway.
The population of the UK has grown by 10M over the last 50 years and is increasing exponentially.
In 200 years time, bar any disasters!!!, the population will be around 100M!! ohmy.gif
Frightening eh?
Well perhaps not for us. dry.gif

The Offence Industry is booming in this country.
Offence is a perception which is unique to the individual.
I find many modern things which did not exist several years ago offensive, but I would have little chance of any complaint making any difference.
The cases in this post, as most are, are the result of someone doing the offending for us.
It is their perception, not ours, but their ridiculous voices are still heard and acted upon.

The emphasis is consistently of catching those who speed because its easy and a good cash cow.
Other driving misdemeanours, which cause far more accidents, injuries and deaths seem to be ignored.
After all, it has been stated on here several times that, apparently, speed does not cause crashes!
