As a complete idiot when it comes to social networking including the workings of these sites, one does pose the question as to how the h**l did you come across it in the first place and does this mean that railway stations are now conversing with the outside world. wink.gif

Well Lordtup, having struggled to pay my £317 parking permit. On line I am calling it a day
with a cup of Horlicks.
Daughter is round in the morning so I have to try and behave.
The Rioja is very tempting though.

Funny how easy it is to make a complete misery for yourself.
I thought it would be cool, seeing others, to skip socks for the day in my new deck shoes.
I was astonished to find I have a blister on every toe this morning.

All 12 of them. (I do have a Norfolk connection).

Facebook is a nightmare and you can't get out.
I did join willingly to read posts based on my childhood in Iraq.
I spend all my time deleting. I would rather talk to a train station.
ce.

I must admit I am on facebook but have no idea how it works other than lots of people from far away places want to be my friend . At first this was refreshing in as much that my previous foray into foreign lands was to fire a gun at the locals , but now with the novelty wearing thin I would like to close it down but have no idea how to go about it.
Perhaps if I visit Thatcham railway station I may get the necessary advice . unsure.gif

I don't think you can delete yourself.Lordtup.
According to my son who knows everything.

I am barraged daily by an Assyrian lady who runs a chat show on TV
in sunny California. As you say the friends issue is terrible.

They are a web community of folk who had to leave Iraq after
the end of the British Mandate. They are all over the world.
The survivors that is.... The Assyrian Levies ran the country
with a few RAF troops and officers. When the British left.
The Kurds took revenge.
Strange really when Assyria is perhaps the oldest civilization.

To be fair to facebook. Which I regret to have joined.

I think A train platform will not help.

The lady who now bombards me with new friends has been an e-mail
chum for a few years. Her dad was my dads deputy and took on the job after we had to
leave for Papua New Guinea. So at some 6 year old stage we would have known each other.
A very thin link. I think I have the family on cine by the pool. Perhaps I will post it. Maybe not.

But I didn't know about how facebook catches you out.
Looks like lordtup you survived pointing a .303 but not facebook.

My brother went to ccf camp and was allowed 3 rounds from a bren.
I spoke of this with him during the week. His ears didn't stop ringing for days.

Ok just , with a little help from the Telegraph, closed my facebook account ( allegedly ). Must admit it takes a bit of following through the labyrinth of settings but hopefully that's the end of that.
Made dodging the odd AK 47 round a stroll in the park. wink.gif

Sadly lordtup I would still like a few of the comments to come through.

I have learned this afternoon from youngsters of mine that you can de-friend a friend.

It seems a bit impolite but might solve my own problem. After that the Telegraph solution.
Glad your work might have solved the problem for yourself.

AK47 was pretty well used all over the world. Good to hear you dodged a round.

I was pretty good with my throwing at the coconut shy at the village fair..3 out of 5.
I guess with the AK in darkest Africa accuracy like the NWN depends on home brew.
Seems like you got lucky. ce
