Robin Williams.

I have to admit, that the tragic death of Robin Williams has really hit me hard today. The sad fact is that many of the worlds BEST comedians ALL SUFFER FROM MENTAL ILLNESS & DEPRESSION! I feel that like I have been hit by a truck, with this news.

The fact is part of the illness and part of being a sufferer from this **** is that we soon learn about the inane ignorance that is the stigma that mental health & depression brings upon us. So as way of dealing with that stigma we learn to give a jovial, jolly and otherwise happy side mainly to strangers but sometimes we try and keep up the pretense with familiy and friends. Yet deep down the termoil is always there, the darkness, the fears and all our demons are still within. Yet we pretend that we are fine.

I would say more, but I know that my locals trolls will use this post to try and point score, well go ahead.

But Rest In Peace Robin Williams, the world is a much sadder place, but Heaven is a happier one today.

I can't see you have said anything controversial to 'attack'. My general view is that we are all too quick to judge, and I suspect that few are genuinely well informed enough to give a proper account on any particular subject concerning human behaviour. That said, of course I'm surprised at the news, he formed a part of my childhood and perhaps influenced my sense of humour

Metal illness is a difficult subject and perhaps contains arguments that would be difficult for some people to accept.

He has given me many laughs over the years, and no doubt we can expect to be treated to many
of his films on box over coming months.
Robbie was a fan of Spike Milligan's brilliance too, and he of course also suffered from lifelong
depression.
