At the end of the day, it's not reasonable to dictate when the mail service deliver. They have a perfect right to decide exactly how the rounds are done and a perfect right to change them. There was no reason why they had yo explain - let alone mention safety issues. In any event, how on earth does the customer actually know the passing vans contain mail for him?

Also, if the post van was parked in a dangerous position and caused an accident that damaged the property in the picture, I can guess who the first to complain would be.

What are some other signs of political correctness gone mad?

I would like to see a certain newspaper change its name to the "Daily Person" as I find the present gender-bias offensive.

This weeks's hard copy NWN contains a letter from Mr Bailey wherein he suggests the Mail delivery staff are wimps for not wanting to park their vehicle in a dangerous position and cross the road to deliver his mail. Personally, I'm rather glad, after all commercial van drivers don't have a brilliant reputation for road safety, so it's nice to know some have paid heed to the message.

Ax question for Mr Bailey. What tangible difference does it make having your mail personally delivered in the afternoon?
