It is with regret that I shall not be contributing to this forum in future .
I can no longer tolerate the acrimonious comments posted by certain individuals in direct contradiction to paragraph 5a in the rules and regulations .
I appreciate some may not take it seriously but I do and there are plenty of other forums that hopefully have a clientele that know how to conduct themselves.
Goodbye.

Dear Lordtup, I’ve enjoyed your writings and I am sad to see you go. You’ve been a constant amusement to me and this forum ever since you joined (I read your posts, even though I only recently joined). Your non-participation in future debates will be sadly missed. If you are still reading this may I suggest we correspond or even meet up and discuss your concerns. There is room for people like you in the Lib Dems who always think of the little people, show respect and equality and have big plans in how we will improve society. You have an important voice. We all do. Let us not waste it.

Lordtup, can i suggest that if you do agree to meet Spider that you should meet somewhere public and take a friend. I'm sure Spider's motives are entirely innocent and he's just a regular middle-aged lorry driver who wants to bum you and wear you head as a hat around his bed-sit, but from some of the things he's posted I'm wondering if he might actually be a Lib Dem, and you really don't want to go meeting any of them.

Why shouldn’t I be a Lib Dem? Just because I am enthusiastic doesn’t mean you have to mock or insinuate that I am something else. Putting that to one side I do agree that anybody who meets somebody from the net should always meet in a public place. As for the other disparaging comments, please, let us be civil.

If LordTup even came back it would be hypocritical of him. It does take a certain kind of people to be able to put up with this forum and I can only take it he wasn't one of them, that is of course according to section 18c paragrah iiB of the rules.

Also I read Spiders post and found it pretty sarcastic laugh.gif

Concerns like "that motormad person makes fun of me for posting in Latin on an English speaking forum". Sure that would be great discussion at your local Lib-Dem bi-election.

Maybe his driveway is too steep for his 4x4 and has now upgraded to a Challenger Tank?

It was an attempt at humour, I apologise if I caused offence.

To be fair he is a Lib Dem supporter.... humour isn't on their agenda. More so with all the sexual allegation being made against one of their senior members. We should sympathise with him. It is not an easy life nowadays being a member of such a notorious and ridiculed party.

I think the telling point here is the way he went. If you don't like a forum, just don't post. End of.

Don't for heaven's sake make a big deal out of it. If you're going to go, go, just fcuk off. What on earth did Tup think was going to happen? Wailing and gnashing of teeth? Garments being rent? or just howls of derisive laughter as he toddles off like a **** Emery character. (one for the oldies there).

And you all wonder why people are 'leaving'?...thought this comment was in pretty poor taste.

By the way, are there any female members left on this forum now? unsure.gif

Positive. Because I know her. When Factfile joined I wrote to her on here (to welcome her) and she didn't reply; which surprised me. Since then I have had an email from her (actually a few) and she said that the Factfile on here isn't her.

That's a shame. I thought it was her.
