Cllr Cole's latest folly ie the £50 green bin charge has a dial in number for those that don't use the interweb.
I gather it's under resourced and permanently engaged, with a recorded message saying to use the on line service.
Many people don't computers, especially older residents.
Will be interesting to see what % of electorate roll over & pay the extortion charge.

Is there any truth in the rumour that the LibDems will be promising to abolish the charge, if they win a majority in the upcoming Council elections?

NWN poll currently reads that idiots willing to pay in the District is 19% of total.
Can't someone tell them that if no-one pays this "anti green tax" then it will have to be abandoned!!

Tough!
They need to learn, if I said I can't use a phone I doubt I would have many sympathisers demanding I be accommodated!

I'm inclined to agree. There is another angle, perhaps we are missing a trick. Local corner shops could offer a service - anyone who wants 'online' forms completing simply pays the newsagent to do it for them. No different than the likes of BT charging for those who still demand printed / posted bills.
