Why oh why do we have to put up with Street drinkers guzzling and quaffing vast amounts of alcohol in the gardens of St Nicholas's church.

Not only is it intimidating to passers by but they also leave an absolute mess behind them. No one in 'authority' seems to move them on?

Write to Benyon and the WBC and complain.
Unless you do they will pretend it's not happening and do nothing about it.

The Lord himself will surely "move them on" before long... wink.gif

Let's hope it's sooner than later.
When Parkway is built I'm sure there will be some nice benches for them to relax on.

Isn't it private property and therefore up to the church to move them on?

Of course the church could call the Police, but it seems an un-Christian thing to do, to turf them out on the street for the "crime" of sitting down and having a drink in a private place.

Let me know where you live and I'll point them in the direction of your garden.

The Vicar is perfectly at rights to have a drink or two in his Churchyard.

Perhaps the owner of the property hasn't called them?

The Police know that they are there. They choose to ignore it.
Another example of standards going down the toilet.

Perhaps they are focusing on other areas of Policing and feel this is a relatively trivial item compared to other ASBs?
