QUOTE (James_Trinder @ Jun 4 2019, 12:52 PM) Yes, something of that magnitude although that in itself might be insufficient. A no deal Brexit would easily wipe 25-30% off.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Jun 5 2019, 07:52 AM) Lefty thugs strike again. The Sun: NHS worker apologises for screaming ‘Nazi’ in face of Donald Trump supporter attacked with milkshake by mob. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9225388/milks...-trump-protest/Disgraceful. I saw it yesterday.

QUOTE (newres @ Jun 4 2019, 02:51 PM) A no deal Brexit would easily wipe 25-30% off. A Labour government with a no deal Brexit would be the ultimate enabler of affordable housing. I reckon that would wipe about 50% off. Fortunately I can't see that ever happening.

QUOTE (Andy1 @ Jun 5 2019, 05:52 PM) She's sorry because she's been caught on camera and is now paying the price for her freedom of speech. And she deleted her Twitter account and asked for people not to be nasty to her family. Poor dear. I feel sorry. Not.

QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Jun 5 2019, 06:13 PM) And she deleted her Twitter account and asked for people not to be nasty to her family. Poor dear. I feel sorry. Not. And yet still no one can explain why they diskie the man so much? It is almost as though they show dissent because they have been told too by "others". In a way it's akin to the mad mullahs indoctrination of those who fall under their spell who then follow their chosen route to destruction with no thought whatsoever as to why. I do not suggest that a yoghurt wielding NHS worker is a danger to the public but I for one would not want her treating me.

They "block" anyone with a view that differs so they only see posts by people with the same thoughts. Sad.

QUOTE (Andy1 @ Jun 5 2019, 09:03 PM) Obama had to retake the Oath of Office because it was messed up. The perception at the time was he's only human. Imagine if that had been Trump. Heracy.... Obama is a god (for some...) It's not what he did as president (like slaughtering thousands of innocents, as well as evils with drones). It's just PC to love him. The only better president for them would be his wife.

QUOTE (newres @ Jun 5 2019, 09:36 PM) An Egyptian god? Excuse the spelling. Didn't pay much attention to RE for obvious reasons. Heresy. Noun. Spelling something incorrectly or not conforming to the world according to dickres.

He's come to the UK and publically said that he would like the NHS to be part of a trade deal, after Farage has already said it should probably be privatised. You can't understands why an NHS employee might dislike him?

You can't understands why an NHS employee might dislike him? Why we all should. Our NHS and healthcare could be destroyed. There would be no commensurate drop in income tax. Turkeys voting for Christmas.

To be brutally honest the NHS is money draining pit of iniquity that needs a bloody good boot up the backside. I spend half my life dealing with doctors who do not listen, consultants who see the patient as a distraction and nursing staff who are bogged down with form filling. Meanwhile an increasing number of patients who are their own worst enemy add to the workload. Don't get me wrong, in some aspects it is second to none but while we continue to view it through rose tinted optics it will eventually disappear to the detriment of all. If Trump could run it more efficiently then give him the job but I think even he might admit defeat on this one. The whole welfare system needs addressing but can you see any politician grasping that nettle?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, compulsory health insurance, the French model.

I'm not sure it's what the outcome would be.
