It won't happen now.. it won't happen tomorrow.. but soon the silent majority will take back control. I honestly believe we won't have another election now till 2022. And they may even stop that by some act of parliament. Because they can't trust the people anymore to vote the right way.

Elections a coming son, Corby is currently engaged in a free for all giveaway which the thicko left will love, till it bankrupts the country.

Remain make up the laws as they go along. A bit like protecting democracy by ignoring 17.4 million votes.

When something is found to have no legal standing it isn't about breaking a law, it is more about not following it. Until there is a legal precedent laws are not enshrined anyway, so in this case the actions of Boris Johnson were deemed unlawful, not illegal. Now there is a legal precedent set it will be much easier in the future should the same event happen again.

Or 52% of the voting electorate in the highest turnout ever seen in the UK. Unless you make it illegal not to vote your argument is spurious.
We won't vote again anyway. Voting is over. They may as well just appoint Gina Miller and co.

It's not criminal, just a branch of civil law. Interesting thought, if Boris 'mislead' HMQ, then Johnnie Major must have done the same, so that will add to the fun. Then, for the future, can we really justify closing parliament for party conferences?

More people turned out for the 1992 GE.

The 1975 remain vote was only about ~33,000 fewer, but a much larger majority than in 2016 leave vote.

It didn't take long to reveal that Alan Rusbridger (ex-editor of the Guardian, Remain voted) supported Gina Miller (who brought the original case against the prorogue, and A50, and everything else about Brexit) and as Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, gave Lady Hale (President of the Supreme Court, delivered the verdict yesterday) a Visiting Fellow position at the college in May. It's about as meaningless as the fact 10 of 11 Supreme Court justices voted Remain, but it looks like a conflict of interest and so it'll be perceived as one - the anti-Brexit establishment at work. But I bet that won't be reported because it doesn't fit the narrative.

Sadly, yes they are. Just as Toni Blair envisaged when he set up the 'Supreme Court' - designed to like the American one. Yet another serious Labour mistake.

We don't have a written constitution, so can't rely on strict interpretation of written precident. Our foundation is common law - what the Supreme Court gave failed to do is look beyond statute. There are common law presidents here, created by both John Major and Clement Attlee.

So, perfectly valid decision against the present constitution of the Court, but it certainly won't clarify any future case, arguably it makes things even more confused.

Concise, accurate and dare I say, prescient.

Jess Phillips MP.

Yesterday;
Jess Phillips has begged Boris Johnson to apologise for his use of language designed to "divide not lead" as she spoke of her grief at Jo Cox's murder.
Today the Labour MPs told the House of Commons: "The use of language yesterday and over the past few weeks such as the surrender bill, such as invoking the war, such as betrayal and treachery, it has clearly been tested, and work-shopped and worked up and entirely designed to inflame hatred and division.
Simper, simper.

Dec 2015;

“I would do anything that I felt was going to make the Labour party win the general election because if I don’t have that attitude then all I’m doing is colluding with the Tories.

“If that means making Jeremy better, I’ll roll my sleeves up. If that’s not going to happen – and I’ve said [this] to him and to his staff to their faces: ‘The day that ... you are hurting us more than you are helping us, I won’t knife you in the back, I’ll knife you in the front.’”

Gets better;

It was widely reported in September that she told the shadow international development secretary, Diane Abbott, to “**** off” when Phillips confronted the Labour leadership team about the lack of women in senior positions.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Labour!

A short term government as described would be one good solution to the problem. Suppose we have an election with another hung parliament? A very likely scenario I’m sure you’d agree.

You can safely place your undeclared stash on a hung jobbie and even then the left/right/no idea mob would cry foul. No, the most sensible plan is the status quo where the present incumbents slog it out like 18th century pugilists until they retire.
It is only a matter of time before freedom of speech is outlawed along with breathing air on alternate days anyway. rolleyes.gif

I'd prefer it if they locked them all in and gave them assorted weapons. Last man or woman standing gets to decide Brexit. All televised (Most likely be PPV).

Be interesting to see wicha are the first ones bumped off.😂
