Driving past One Stop on Kiln Road about 5.30 I noticed the pedestrian lights had been knocked flat over. I said to my daughter, who was driving me at the time, to stop so I could take a photo. She replied "I don't think so" as there was cars behind her and she had nowhere to pull in. An opportunity missed tongue.gif

Now, granted I did say a car had hit the lights, however, there was no car there nor did I witness a car hitting it. It could have been an escaped elephant or a low flying plane but I went for car. If i am wrong I will apologise. laugh.gif

If it was then it would be spectacular as Shirley Crabtree died a few years ago. But then I suppose there is such a think as the paranormal. wink.gif tongue.gif

Could it have been one of the HGV's that insist on going up there?

To quote a famous Jasper Carrot sketch " The accident was caused by me waving to the man I hit last week" or "She admitted it was her fault as she'd been knocked down before" and best of all "I drove into a driveway that wasn't mine and hit a tree we haven't got" laugh.gif

Well spotted; I didn't notice that. We'll have to put you up for the Sherlock Holmes prize for observance. wink.gif

IT's probably legally OK to knock someone down on that crossing now, since the light is not at the correct angle. smile.gif

Grin.

Though I do like "I had to swerve several times before I hit him".

I hope the blind gent who GMR was behind the other day doesn't have to navigate this crossing. If so his blind dog had better trained in owner limbo guidance!

You mean stage it? Like the German's staged their attack on Poland in 1939? Obviously not on that scale laugh.gif

Or do you mean for real? Like death race 2000; where bodies amount to prizes sort of thing? laugh.gif

I believe it was a more serious problem than the other traffic light on the robin hood roundabout.
