That would surprise me as it would be more expensive in London. Property is dearer there.

I can't see it happening. They're constantly cutting costs and moving to London would be a **** of a lot more expensive.

The idea is that certain departments are better off in London as they are closer to key external partners such as banks, major corporate customers etc. There is on benefit in say, the technology departments moving. It also means that some rented building can be returned to the landlords, in itself a huge financial saving.

I'm not worried and am looking forward to a change of scenery.

I thought Vodafone was supposed to be "all about mobile working solutions and the ability to work just about anywhere", so it's interesting that they feel the need to relocate some staff to be nearer key stakeholders!

No No No, this isnt happening. The finantial times got it wrong. Ther is around 200 people moving to the new paddington office because they are Vodafone group, and The HQ is the UK Headquarters. laugh.gif

This will mean more people travelling to London on an already crowed train service. sad.gif The only up side is that there will be some new faces in the morning!! laugh.gif
