Would be nice, but I would put money on them showing up at Parkway.

Another cheapo clothes store to join TKMax and Matalan - how many do we need?

If it has to be another national chain then what Newbury could do with is a PCWorld or a Hobbycraft.

Hope it's ok to post this, but someone has just told me PC World. Again, not sure how true it is.

Ah right. I thought they would list the company name on the application. Whoever it is, they are putting in a mezz floor to increase retail space.

Starbucks wink.gif

Perhaps the return of Comet, to give Currys a bit of competition.

Could do with someone to compete with Currys. Just buying a new washing machine and to look at any locally is near impossible.

I did hear a few months ago that Dunelm Mill were apparently going to be going in that unit. Nothing happened so we assumed it wasn't going to happen.

What the bit in the back of the NWN says is:

M F I London Road - External alterations tothe existing retail warehouse unit, creation of 1,639sq ft of additional floorspace at mezzanine level (class A1) and amendments to the layout of the car park.

and that entry is repeated under the Major Projects heading. So to aswer your question, NO.

Not in NWN but on the application on West Berkshire Councils planning portal.
