Have used one stop servicing, same people? If so best to avoid if you love your car. Try Sharpes in bone lane instead.

you called?

One stop, I think was recently purchased by a new owner. not sure about the staff. Haven't heard the best of stuff

Sharps are quite good.

I would use Millers (who are just further down the road).
I'll be in there tonight doing my rear brakes :-)

Sharps, Millers, Pipers Autos, are all pretty good to be fair and it's just a case of whoever you get on with the best smile.gif

No, this is an Online company called 'Servicing Stop' who come & collect the car from your home & deliver it back when the job is done, hence me wondering where they take it ! I have been using 'Pinchbecks' at Middle Wallop since Whitequay Suzuki in Faraday Rd. closed, just fancied using someone a bit closer.

Long way to go for a service but I'm sure I wouldn't want to trust some online lot with my pride and joy especially as you have no idea who is doing the work. Could be some guy in a van without a ramp and dubious credentials.

Do some research and pop into a local family run garage, you will get better service as they want to maintain their local reputation and can't hide behind the badge of an anonymous and often arrogant main dealer. You're more likely to be tucked up with the latter than the independent.

What oil do the use? Whose filters? Do they have the appropriate diagnostics software? I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.

Ask them. most garages today use longlife oil which has to meet a standard specification to be that grade and to achieve 20,000 mile service intervals.. The days of multigrade and 10/40 have pretty much gone as modern cars ask for much higher spec lubricants.
Filters etc again the factor filters are usually of OE quality and are acceptable to maintain warranty but if you want genuine, say so, the price differential is minimal.
Every garage almost without exception will have one or more scan tools to interrogate your ECU, part of life today. Some charge, some will read for free.

I used to do all my servicing myself for years, but as this was the wife's new car we decided to have the first couple done at the garage. However, as good ! & friendly ! as they are / were, looking at last years bill with the parts costing £52.60 & the total with labour £256.00 ohmy.gif I think its time I bought some oil & filters & got my hands dirty again ! ( I already do with the Motor Bike anyway !! ) wink.gif

Yeah that's a lot of labour! Bloody ****.
Probably best to do it yourself, and you know it's been done properly that way too :-)
