BBC News - Government-subsidised plug-in cars may never have been charged
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46152853

Really? And they're actually surprised? Morons.

If it wasn't so exasperating it would be hilarious. Yet another example of how we will fair post brexit if we don't get our collective act together.

And they're pumping out more pollutants than a straight ICE vehicle and HMG is paying them to do it. Refreshing to see Hydrogen mentioned though.

I don't think it's funny, I think it's very sad. I've driven some of these electric and hybrid cars and they are very good. Maybe not as rep cars but for pootling around town and that they are brilliant. We have to stop pandering to business so much but we have a tory government who care about nothing else.

Of course it is, give anybody a chance to reduce their personal tax burden and they're going to take it. I can see that, YOU can see that, HMG apparently can't.

But it's fine, and it's a good thing just why didn't the users take the cars and use them properly. This is only a failure of the end user.

Perhaps they don't have proper access to a charging station? Perhaps they merely couldn't be bothered at the end of a long day.

Access is a fair point, I don't know how easy it is to get a charger installed. But charging (at home) has got to be easier at the end of the day than going to a fuel station.

Not if you don't have a driveway, and driver's don't need to go to a fuel station daily.
