While I would love to see the old threshers shop filled please don't put another money wasting shop in! How nice it would be to have a bakery or a proper butcher shop or even a useful chemist shop!

The crazy thing is, that, although they are my 'local' shops, I can't actually think of what I would like to see go in there! |

My husband and I were discussing the other day what shop we would open if we won the lottery and decided on a fishing tackle shop as Newbury is definitely lacking one. Not sure that shop would be big enough for it though !!

There's two in Thatcham as well. And don't some of the sports shops sell fishing equipment as well?

Alas I think the one in Newbury closed down when the owner died and his wife could not manage it any more as she was quite old. There is only one now in Thatcham as the one by Chick King closed down and I am sorry to say but it is not very good you can never get what you need unless you order it in....... We have just been to Swindon to get what is needed so quite a treck.... |

what about putting in a adult shop dont need to be that big and Newbury town will def not get one so it would suit Wash Common as i am told thats where all the upper class,stiff upper lips come from
