Humanity has a habit of waiting until something becomes a problem before doing something about it. One day we will be too late.

Yes, that's right, but we can't resist natural behaviour. We won't be around, so,why worry? That's the Conservative 'market forces' philosophy; the party for people without a future.

Someone will spot an opportunity; offer to clean the streets cheaper than the present contract then burn the stuff in a combined incinerator / generator - job done! We were going to have one at Chieveley but the W.Berks Libtards saw that off; daft decision for those who want to keep villages live because it would have created rural jobs. Nought to do with youngsters, they are simply helping create these opportunities, just as they are taught at school.

I like to think it more of a problem of democracy than any particular party.

To some extent, I'd agree. However, the move from a mixed economy to market forces was Thatcherisim - she and her peers subscribing to the monitorist theories and practices. Arguably very popular because it meets base human instinct, this popularity and our democratic approach meant New Labour and the LibDems followed suit. However both choose to pretend to be nice whenever they get the opportunity. No change on the horizon means we all need to embrace the approach. I can't see a dictatorship being much different, history suggests in practice, these are generally right wing, no matter their name.

RESULT !!!
Took a detour today, and the newspapers have been cleared !
Not sure if it was the person responsible, or a public minded individual, but good to see it has been done.
Wish there was a way of preventing it in the future.
Thanks to all on the forum for your support, and words of wisdom
Regards
