See

These homes should perhaps instead be told, get to hospital yourself,
and at your expense, or perhaps the Ambulance authority send a skip??

Without knowing full details of each case I can not comment fully....But for the genuine complaints about patients, friends/family causing the trouble, well they should be arrested for causing a nuisance and fined. I find this behaviour really insulting to the people who are only trying to help us.

Is this the same ambulance service that doesn't train it's paramedics properly? Could the two stories be linked?

Bit harsh Bofem. My experience is that the paramedics are absolutely first-rate and I really don't like to see these professionals knocked. They have a demanding job that they do really well and government targets don't measure that.

Errrrr.....

I haven't seen the actual report, but the news item does not mention paramedics. 'Staff' includes paramedics of course, but some of the implied issues are as much about Command and Control, supervision and management as the front line ambulance staff.
