"Firefighters raced to Donnington Castle after callers feared the Newbury landmark was ablaze"

When we were doing our rounds for the Newbury Battlefield project 4 weeks ago, this same thing happened to us. My husband went to investigate thinking some youths had set fire to something, only to find that some foresters were burning back some felled trees down on the westen earth works, between the road and fields, but the smoke was very thick and dence and the wind was blowing uphill towards the main gate house. Quite a view from the car park.

Anyway, any luck on finding a bin for the car park yet?

Don't need one. Saves a lot of money if people take their rubbish home with them.

If only Darren, but we live in a non-perfect world.

I bet some people wouldn't even use the bin if it was provided.
