Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems a bit of a waste of resource to send out a police helicopter to catch rabbit poachers:

They were hare coursing - the bunny poaching was a touchingly pathetic attempt at a cover story.

A fair and fitting punishment would be for them to have to run naked through a field while two dogs compete to rip their throats out. OK, maybe that's a bit over the top. They'd be allowed to keep their pants on.

That does put a slightly different slant on things. I still question the use of a helicopter though.

I think we have to thank our country squire PCC for the crack down. A lot of resource for not a lot of return I suspect. Still, makes it a bit better for the crims in town with everybody rushing round the local fields and using gallons of fuel in the air. (Price per Hare ratio )
