Adrian Beecroft, (a venture capitalist and Conservative Party kebab) thinks it would boost the economy if we were to allow employers to hire and fire at will.

That should makes these forums quieter during the day!

Is a Tory Doner a bit like a Doner Kebab? i.e. seemed like a good idea at the time but is now making you really queasy? wink.gif

Firing employees at will would not fix it. 95% of businesses are run by bean counters and if they find they can fire a employee who is being paid £35k a year (and who earns his/her money, not dossing around) and replace them with someone who they can pay £22-£23k, they would do it regardless. Not to mention the whole "so-and-so doesn't get on with manager, manager couldn't previously fire employee because they actually did their job" now means that employee can be out on their *** quite quickly.

Unfair and not surprising coming from a Tory. Bunch of stuck up ****s.
