The snow halted trains in the tunnel for hours. I know we have bad weather, but … What would happen if there was an incident, such as terrorism or fire? Would have thought risk assessments would have been done during the testing stage.

I'm sure dozens, hundreds of risk assessments were done - none of which flagged up the potential problem with the trains. No doubt their plan for evacuating a train stuck in the tunnel involved another train picking up the passengers - not a lot of use when all the trains are knackered. I believe they eventually sent car trains in to evacuate the passengers - probably after a delay while they did a risk assessment on the use of the wrong sort of train!
