What's going to "blow wide open again"? What does this even mean?

Sounds like something a second rate TV detective might say.

I'd suggest that the 'attack' on Supernova Cycles would be a good test to see how well the new CCTV system works.

I am intrigued in the following stats (the accuracy of which I am not certain).

Windsor Control room stats:

Last Year: 4840 incidents were dealt with by the control room.

1807 of these incidents commenced with information from the Community Radio systems.

825 persons were taken into police custody due to the assistance of the CCTV and Community Radio Systems.

383 of those arrests resulted from information first circulated on the Community Radio.

216 Community Radios are in use on the system.

Radiophonic communication between the Newbury scheme and the Windsor control room is still non-existent.

I doubt anything will blow wide open as our council is ensuring no official information will be advised.

No. We would need a whistle-blower for that to happen, in the event rumours are true.

Sounds like there's been a lot of huffing and puffing for nothing if you ask me.

My regret is that it seems the ShopSafe/Pubwatch has been undermined. It would be handy to have some stats on the these schemes.

Is it FOI requestable?

Ripped from Maidenhead and Windsors own site.

Anyone care to accuse them of telling untruths?

The point is that they obviously understand the importance of radio links between CCTV control and the shops etc, and having control of the cameras.

None of the above could possibly have happened with our Newbury scheme at present. Yet WBC have been busy telling people that everything is as it was, and in one case, one councillor denied that there was ever linkage between our old CCTV room and the Shop Safe / Pubwatch schemes.

Thanks, it would be good to have a similar report on our council's website.

User23, I have email after email on this subject, sat there waiting for whoever is in charge of the investigation into what went wrong. If we get it.

I'd like to think that when the CCTV system was reviewed, this data would have been compiled.

That's two emails then.

When did it "blow wide open" in your view and if there's no investigation will you be calling for an investigation into why?

I have around one hundred emails from elected members, officers, Windsor, retailers and other interested partners.
