Having attended this for the past few years I'll certainly be going this year.

Can I expect to see any other posters on this site there?

If you do I hope you'll be decent enough to buy me a pint.

I think I remember last year there was a bit of bother, and there was an issue with mandatory plastic receptacles. I hope there's not a repeat this year. Perhaps the weather will put pay to that.

No, but some of the Newbury Today regulars are quite easily recognisable.

tsk tsk.....That noose needs work... Thirteen coils to see 'em hang true... And as for the loop, you'd never get some forumers heads and egos through that tiny hole... Is it designed to dangle rabbits from?

It doesn't look like Combe Gibbet to me. Struggling up the hill to view the panorama,
and then the reward of the wild run down to Kintbury.
Was it only sailors who had body art!

tsk tsk, don't jump to conclusions.

It might not be what you think. It might be for rapists, and it might not be for their necks.

Still not convinced about real ale; but then my mis spent youth was lubricated by Red Barrel and Courage Brown. The cider was first rate though; haven't had perry for years. Real glasses as well. Anyway, a great way to spend a couple of hours. Must admit, my first time - so thanks User23 a great recommendation.

Great cider and perrys. The entertainment was poor until the SKA covers band got to the stage.

The band playing Mexican music were good. Not sure if the rap / r'n'b act was really playing to their target audience, but I guess they were just part of a variety of styles, which was good.

I disagree. I think the music should complement, not dominate. It was too loud as well. The rap/rnb stuff was really grating. It was like having a punk rock band playing. The follow-up act was really dull as well. By contrast, last year's Thatcham beer festival had excellent music.
