How can you follow UK football from California? Or why, even - surely you have beaches to visit?
Haha, all fair questions mate.
1) We have a dedicated football channel here called Fox Soccer Channel (and it's little sister Fox Soccer Plus) that show 7 or 8 games a weekend. Oftentimes this means I can watch 3pm Saturday afternoon games (albeit a little early) and I don't recall the last Chelsea game I missed. There's also a good British pub a short drive away which hosts the Southern California branch of the Chelsea supporters group - we normally get 20-30 for a game. Much more for a big one, a little less for a smaller match. Full English and a pint of Murphy's is a great way to start the day
2) The great thing about football watching here is that, being 8 hours behind, there is time to watch the game and then go to the beach, mountains, lakes, parks or just doing the gardening and picking up the lemons that keep falling off my tree. Though I try and keep Disney visits to once a year when we have guests - too much Mickey Mouse is a bad thing
