12 to 14 thousand! Really?

If these figures are correct that is amazing.

Also, how come if attendance was low at first due to the England match, figures peaked between 7.30 and 9.30, which was roughly when the match was on?

So, I take it you are all willing to believe that almost half the population of Newbury was there on the opening night.

The queues must have been horrendous! blink.gif

Nah, it's just we've all got work to do rather than reply to such threads! tongue.gif

In seriousness, yes, it is likely the story is codswollop, either that, or the IR will be rubbing their hands as we speak.

Did they count the visitor numbers in the Hall of Mirrors?

I went last night and it did seem busy but I would guess a figure of 14 hundred would be more accurate.

Funny how on both Friday and Saturday nights it had all gone quiet by about 22:00 despite being open until 23:00.

Never been quiet that early before in the last 40 or so years.
